My Yoga Journey:
Yoga has somehow always been a part of my life, without even knowing it. My interest in it started early on, movement wise I took inspiration for daily stretches and with the age of 15 I started to read and research the Indian Philosophy, implementing this wisdom alongside meditation in my Life. Yoga complemented my practise during many years as a Dancer. During this in time I experienced disembodiment, and often felt disassociated with my body. When I lacked the depth of movement during my time in the dance industry, practising Yoga kept me grounded, and aligned my body with mind and soul. Since I have dedicated much time in trainings in my Yoga practise, my Life has changed as I could never have imagined. I learned that we can use Movement as a powerful tool not just to connect with our deeper self, but also to move and manifest a Life more aligned with our true nature.

It’s not like a typical yoga class. It has a big extra… an X factor which makes it truly unique and engaging. From the choice of the playlist which Sophia shared with us in advanced to the super engaging and perfectly balanced mix between yoga and movement/dance. I felt super present and light! Time flew by and it was real fun! I simply loved it!

I joined Sophia's yoga a couple of times as someone who is not a dancer - I find it interesting, exciting and easy to follow (even without much experience). Sophia brings in all kinds of dance moves, often afro-dance-inspired moves I think, explains them and then gives time for everyone to try and feel them. I feel grounded, connected to my body, and really positive after her sessions.
